Hey , our president did it at teen pageants....walking in while girls were naked or in various states of undress. I guess it must be okay as he is adored. The groping stuff that his wife said was "just
boys being boys" might be a little much.

OP, NO, it is NOT okay for someone to be snapping pictures in a dressing room. ANY dressing room where there are other people present.

This is part of the problem: everyone can take pictures now, anywhere, any time.

My daughter did dance for years. We solved this problem by having her wear a flesh colored body suit under her costume.

Talk to the director, if nobody but you has a problem with this, find another studio, you are not the right fit for them.

It doesn't matter if I'm the only one with a problem with it, or not. It's illegal to take photographs of nude children.

Why are there nude children? Even with costume changes, are they really sans clothing, including their underwear?

I'm sorry, there is no reason whatsoever for children to be completely nude in a common area with parents coming and going. It is ridiculous that children should need to remove their underwear for a costume change.

Nice try there, reread the laws of your state, the big concept you are missing is called "intent." Nice stretch from taking pictures of your kids dance costume to child pornography. Sounds like you will not be missed if you choose to have your kid dance someplace else. I'm willing to bet this is a mole hill you are trying to make a mountain, and you are exaggerating in attempt to prove your point.

Not necessarily.

My grandson is involved in music and theater. One mom takes pictures of all the kids and puts them on FB. He asked his mom to speak to her about posting unauthorized pictures on FB.

Now that mom gets permission before making any post of rehearsals on FB.

They are on private property. Any professional photographer would have to have permission to be in there to take a picture.

That mom is out of bounds. Just because she has a camera does not mean she can take others pictures without their permission. If they were in public, walking down the street, that's another thing.

The person who runs the place is not doing their duty. If you speak up and nothing is changed, move on.
