Yeah, you're right, without a few infant/toddler elementary school age deaths we'll soon be up to our a$$e$ in teenagers, and we all know what that would be like.
Let me cite some history. Back in Victorian times the solution for sour milk was to add alum which got rid of the sour smell and taste but left all the bacteria. As a result hundreds of thousands of English children contracted tuberculosis, a disease with a high death rate. Was pasteurizing going too far with precautions with kids?

Pretty soon it will be recommended that children up to 10 yrs old be places in a stroller rather than walk because it's dangerous. They could run away or get hit by an oncoming car.
