It's pretty funny, and might be the nicest (and most appreciated) gift the teacher got.
But I can see the whole alcohol on school grounds problem.

Wow do they really have no alcohol on school grounds rule that strict? I remember when we had school fayres/fetes mum would always give bottles of wine for the tombola stall.

If I were a teacher I'd definitely appreciate a bottle of wine as a present and would find the picture of a student on it amusing.

Behavior doesn't have to be bad to be trying.

In preschool I considered doing this with packs of ear plugs. My son has a lot to say!

That was in the UK. Don't know what the case is with schools here, I'm not sure parents even give presents to the teachers, at least none of the parents with school age children I know have talked about it.
The US does seem to take itself pretty seriously with a lot of things!

I wouldn't give alcohol to anyone I don't know well. You never know who doesn't drink or won't keep alcohol in the house.

Some kids do cause me to drink! And I'm not even a teacher. I'm just related to them.
