I have a 15 year old that has had some issues but typically what you would expect from a 15 year old girl. However, she has made some comments about men I find troubling, such as her saying she thinks boys are dumb, that boys are inferior etc.

I have looked at her computer browsing history and seen that she has been viewing a lot of extreme feminist websites. While I do get that she can make up her own mind, should I intervene?

I do. If my daughter makes general comments about any group, I usually point out non-examples. Then the discussion will center around 1 or 2 individuals that did something. I usually end it with "If it looks stupid, don't do it."

Is her father apart of her life? Any positive roll model?

It always amazes me to see parents asking someone else if they should talk to their children about what they're saying, seeing, thinking, etc.

Intervene? No. Talk about it? Of course. Good grief.

Every time a kid makes a statement like that, or asks a question, or assumes something, or you found out they viewed certain information, talk to them. Talk to them anyway. It's your job.

Nope. This will serve her very well in life. When I'm asked to give advice to adolescents and young adult women I tell them to not get into relationships with men and their lives will be SO much better.

Yes, if they are lesbian or asexual ...

Not sure you're one to give sound advice considering your biased viewpoint. You've mentioned how much you hated being married and loved being single.

Not all women would go that route.

OP, yes, talk to her. But, don't accuse her or anything, just talk.

I don't know that any of that, at that age, is all that alarming.

Boys, at 15, are less mature than Girls generally. And it isn't unusual or unhealthy for a teenager to look at the drama and say, "Who needs that noise in their life?" Or, find out that they aren't exactly what many HS'ers are looking for, and spout the line as a defense mechanism or avoidance tactic to rejection.

Of course fifteen-year-old girls think boys are stupid. It's all part of growing up. Would you rather she was boy crazy as a fifteen-year-old? Somehow I think not. Don't worry. Extremism is common at her age. With gentle encouragement from you, she'll likely even out as she grows older.

You might be on to something. Single women without children do, on average, live longer than women who marry and/or have kids, don't they?
