No biggie. I think my girls were freshman in high school when wife and I allowed it as well. Great kids, awesome grades so a little reward goes a long way.

Agree.

But why exactly is he against a 3rd?

....adding one more is hardly a big deal.

I told my daughter when she was fourteen, "You have enough holes in your head as it is."

Once she turned 18, she could do anything she wanted with her own money. By that point, she had wised up enough to not do it.

As long as they don't have to drill bone, what's the problem?

Ear lobe piercings are universally accepted. I have 3 holes in each lobe, and it's my business that they are there. My job doesn't care, and I've been doing front-line office work for the past 28 years.

I was told when I am working, and on my own, I can have and do anything I want. That one will buy you at least 5 to 8 years. Maybe by that time she will be over it, lol.

What about letting her get some really cute ear cuffs? They come in all different styles and materials and a lot of them are really nice. That way she can have the effect and look of a third piercing, but no holes in the ear are required.

Just a thought - hope it's a helpful one.

Tell her she'll regret it (I have one I can't get rid of now).
