Spoilt teen complains on Dr Phil about allowance being cut by $4k | Daily Mail Online

Quote:
A spoiled 15-year-old from Beverly Hills insists she is being forced to live like a 'peasant' after her mother cut her allowance from $5,000 a month to $1,000.

Nicolette dragged her mom, Nina, on the Dr. Phil show to argue that she should be giving her at least $2,500 a month because she 'works all the time' and doesn't do anything for her.

'I want my mom to understand that I can't live off $1,000 a month, and I grew up on a certain lifestyle. She can't just take that away from me immediately,' she told Dr. Phil on Tuesday's episode.
Good lord! Hard to be anymore spoiled than that. But as bad as the daughter may be do you think the mother is worse for raising a spoiled princess?

Their whole situation is a problem.

What the mom has done is make her daughter vulnerable to any seemingly adoring outside influence. It's frightening.

The girl needs serious help, since she has no friends and is enrolled in online school. They need to move away from Beverly Hills and start over somewhere.

So, why would any mom let their kid "drag" them on Dr Phil, or any of those shows? 15 minutes of fame. Given that, wonder how "real" this is? I certainly wouldn't have my kid making me out a bad parent on TV and don't believe anyone else would either unless they were playing a role.

The mom said she knew she had screwed up and agreed to go because she figured Dr Phil would help her fix the situation.

All of them. Why was mom giving her $5k/mo??? That’s insane. Also mom shouldn’t work all the time and needs to arrange to be around some. I say this as a workaholic who regularly works a lot but I always block off from 4-8 during the week and weekend daytime to be around for my son. Even if that means working til 2 am after he’s in bed despite working from 6a-4p already. What did dr Phil say?

They are both a mess! And it will take more than 40 minutes of Dr. Phil to fix mom's bad parenting.

Can't live on $1000 a month, huh? Well, mom should give the $5K, but charge $2K in rent, $1K for food and water, and have her split the car insurance, car payment, electric/gas bill, etc.

Where is this money coming from?

Edited to add: as anyone could kind of tell, this is completely fake. There is nothing Dr. Phil won't stoop to to make a little money.

Google her name.

(I haven't felt this irritated at Dr. Phil since he made up the "tapes" of a confession by the Kalpoe brothers in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Shameful. Why does he even still have a show?)
