I think Twitter is another social networking deal. The founders are probably thinking it'll be the new thing after Facebook, which was the new thing after MySpace, which was the new thing after Xanga.

Ah...thanks. Nah, I think I'll pass on twittering. I don't Facebook, MySpace or Xanga either. I guess I feel pretty comfortable being a grownup....

twitter's pretty cool. My son doesn't do it, but I like to get other people's twitters. I think my favorites are the writer John Dickerson, LeVar Burton and Tina Fey. They're both hilarious. I also do myspace and am one of my son's friends so I can see exactly what's on his page at all times. As far as I know, it hasn't made me any less an adult.

Yes - I'm trying to figure out how to follow other interesting people's twitters. Some of them are pretty funny. You can get them on your phone as texts or you can log onto twitter.com and see your "account". I don't have facebook or anything but I suppose that would make it more of a comprehensive social thing.

OK -I'm not picturing it correctly then. I think Facebook and I just can't see me posting pics of "all my bff's" at someones New Year's eve party...and dishing about who kissing who and who sat in the corner and pouted....
I'll have to find out more about it. - sounds more like a blog type thing.

All of my kids are in their 20s, and married. The answer to the title question is, YES, and on a regular basis.

I text all the time to my mom and my brother.
I HATE phone calls. I can call people, I am comfortable talking on the phone but ever time I call someone I hear, BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP when I am on the call and its people texting me and messages coming though and the other person can hear it as well.

I call my grandmother, that's about it, I text otherwise.
I have unlimited texting and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Mine is still to young to text. But it will be fun when she is old enough.

I like texting family and friends for now.

Just curious, how many of you texters out there use the SWYPE feature were you drag your finger accross the letters? Personally I just type or use the speak feature.
