At least she didn't kill him. Sad that we've gotten to the point in our society where we're GRATEFUL that a parent doesn't kill a child, but just abandons them...

My heart aches for this little boy. When my daughter was two years old, she was playing and frolicking, following the cats through a pet door into a fenced in backyard, laughing and going on, not a care in the world. This poor child has no joy in his face.

If I left my kids in the toy area at Walmart or Target they probably wouldn't complain until they got hungry....then they would go to the built-in McDonalds.

One can only imagine what's going on in the little mind of this child, the confusion, the panic, the fear! I hope this child can get adopted by a loving parent who hopefully can return to him some semblance of trust in humanity again.

This is heartbreaking. Children have no value to some people in our society. God bless him.

I'm hoping that, in her heart, she did what she thought was best for her boy. I'm hoping it wasn't an abandonment so much as a hope that he can have a better future than she thought she could provide. I wish the best for this child. He has challenges ahead most of us probably can't even imagine.

I just hope this kid ends up with halfway decent people who will be happy to him a decent upbringing.

I hope the mother finds some shelter or professional help that she obviously needs. She is probably not of good mental health & may also be in a dangerous situation.
This boy probably came from a home of abuse as seen by his stoic & almost numb expression as well as what the police said about him showing no enery or activity level.
Hopefully, he will be with a foster family that can care for his needs & give him some extra TLC.
