I heard that Dugger woman (of the Dugger cult in Arkansas with the horrible mullet) is pregnant with her 18th baby. I guess she won't be happy until "god blesses them" with a downs' syndrome baby.

I was talking to my pediatrican about these families (primarily the Duggers from AR) & how they handle it. She brought up an interesting point that the kids are not kids; they are mini mommy & daddy's responsible for taking care of children & the house. It really clicked & made sense.

Hey, guess if you want that many, ok, but is it really fair to the children after awhile?

I wonder if she confuses their names the way I do with 3?

That's the way it used to be, a long time ago. Kids did'nt play video games and "hang out"; the boys helped Dad with his work, and the girls learned to keep house with mom.

While I personally can't imagine having that many children, they all seem more well-adjusted than a lot of kids I see loitering around outside... I can't find fault with them raising up so many responsible children.

i think its great and everything--good job with all the kids--God bless.
but seriously--when are these families going to stop??
do they have a number in mind? are they waiting for one of the parents to pass on? are they waiting for mom to reach menopaus, at which point mommy will fall into deep depression when she realizes there wont be another baby.
it's becoming like a race or joke. are they trying to break a record?

First of all, I don't know how these women do it! I find it difficult raising ONE child - can't imagine having 17 more! Second, how can this be healthy for a woman's body? This lady looks pretty old to be popping out babies!

I wouldn't want to have that many but as long as they are not using my tax dollars to raise the kids then I think they can do as they please. The Duggar kids are very well behaved kids and it seems like a very cohesive family unit. I agree with beanandpumpkin in that they seem very well adjusted and you don't see the problems from them that you see elsewhere. I wish my 5 were that responsible

What's the difference between their children and your children? Thank god that you were blessed with healthy twins.
