Do your kids act as one of the parents did as a child?

Things like temper, favorite foods, etc.

Absolutely. My son is his daddy in character, temperament, manners, and even in his car-nutness!

My daughter is me.

My nearly 6 year old daughter's favorite color is black (go figure .) She is adopted. Her birthmother's favorite color: black. They are not in contact with each other at all, so it's not a question of either knowing the other's favorite color. And black isn't exactly a common favorite color.

My son is also adopted. He likes those jalepeno peppers that they give you when you order pizza.
I saw his birthmom eating them one time...so that was pretty cool.

Definitely! It is amazing how those things are passed on in the genes! It is more incredible to see "mini-you" walking around!!!!!!!!

my sister is like my grand aunt and one of my great grandmother in temper. (both died before she was born). Some personality seems to be genetics. I am a bit like my grandfather and great grandfather for some things, and like my great great grandfather on other things. It is weird sometime. Since sometime it skips a generation or 2.

Yep.

Our soon to be 3yr old has both our stubborness, so combined that makes for some serious stubborness He has his daddy's personality to the tee.

Our 8 month old is very much me & according to my mom, does exactly what I did when put in a high chair & had to wait 5 seconds for food...scream....joy

Our toddler is the spitting image of me though he has more of dh's personality & our 8 month old is the spitting image of dh but has much more my personality.

Love it
