Default Anywhere to buy a child leash or alarm quickly?

I have a flight this week with my toddler, and as usual, I'm having nightmares about keeping him safe in an airport. Does anyone know if stores like Target or Wal-Mart sell child leashes or similar products??? I just don't have time to order one online.

Toys R Us, Wal Mart, Target... alot do. Basically anywhere you can get child's stuff. The chest harnasses are better and not as easy for the child to remove.

Don't buy the one that goes around the wrist. Get the harness looking one. Then the child can't take it off themself.

I had to use one with my youngest when we went to crouded places, like the zoo or the time we went to Bush Gardens....she would take off!

I would imagine, with times as they are, to keep them from being grabbed. When my older boys were little, even though I had control and they were behaved, it was not unusual for them to walk several steps ahead or hold my hand loosely, or bolt off to look at something a few steps away.
I didn't worry then (maybe I should have) because things were different.

Today, I can see a child being snatched from a mothers hand, or lured away, and that would be that. A leash would curtail this quite a bit. Plus, it is easier than carrying them or keeping them in a stroller, especially if they are bigger.

I never imagined I would use one and always thought they looked ridiculous - and, shameful as it may sound - I wondered why the parents couldn't control their child to the point of needing a leash. Now that I am a mom again after 19 years, this handy dandy tool is on my list of 'to buy's' as soon as he starts walking. It's not a matter of control now - I would die if something happened to that child knowing I could have done more.

Boy, do I miss the old days...
