China's population problems are so severe right now that there's only 1 way to deal with this mess. I don't agree with the punishment, but something has to give. I have been to China and saw the problems they're facing, and it's sad.

They're going to have another set of problems in the future; their sex ratio will be so skewed in favor of males that their birth rates will plummet and their crime rates will increase because of a spike in the numbers of unmarried males.

I watched something recently about that and yes, China is already having problems with unmarried young men...even to the point that there is a thriving business of kidnapping women for men who live in remote areas.
