Talking Shameless bragging!
My daughter did it; she got her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley! She was very worried about a statistics class, but just tonight she found out she passed! What a wonderful Christmas present. I'm such a proud mom. Her graduation ceremony isn't until May, but she's definitely going to walk across that stage. Yay!!!

Shameless bragging would have been more like a certain acquaintance of mine. Had she shared your news, it would have sounded something like this-

"Well, Buffy will be graduating in May. Just a formality, though. Everyone knows he's the smartest student there. All her professors are intimidated by her. She's never found one who could actually teach her anything she didn't already know. She's glad to be leaving school behind. You don't realize how hard it is for a girl that beautiful to make friends. The other girls are so mean. It's not her fault she's brilliant and gorgeous! Am I right? Ha ha ha.....Well, anyway, I knew how happy you'd be to hear about this. All my friends just love Buffy so much. She's truly an angel. She has such a big heart.
