I'd also get her on a routine of doing some work for each class everyday even if there is no homework assigned. Review the chapter, take notes, find 5-15 math problems to do from the book, read the assigned book (it won't hurt to get ahead). Then it won't seem like such a big deal to do the work when there is homework, she just swaps out her usual studying with the assigned work. It may be that a routine or making a habit will help regulate her study habits overall.

Could it also be that your level of required organization is more than is necessary?? I'm an organized person but I have learned when to back off and leave well enough alone (even if it makes me crazy inside, LOL).

Missing assignments is another issue....I have never been able to understand that kids DO the work and then forget to turn it in. I think you are on the right track by letting her earn back some basic privileges with good study HABITS and being a generally responsible students.
Thanks ncyank. Things have gotten so crazy this yr that she has fallen out of routine. I have also been so busy with trying to help the youngest with his reading that I have not been enforcing a routine. She used to be on one and I bet that would help a lot. sometimes the simple get forgotten.
I am also overly organized which is why I stepped back at the beginning of the yr. I am trying to be in the middle of the ground with it, but I to just will never comprehend how someone can do their work and not turn it in.

Having ADHD and with 2 daughters with ADHD as well I totally can get the "I did it but didn't turn it in." 75% of the time it was..I did it and put it somewhere but can't remember where I put it OR I couldn't find it when I went to do it. The other 25% I totally had forgotten to do it until I got to class the next day. It is amazing how easy it is to lose stuff like that. I know you are talking about normal kids but organization has always challenged us.
