(CNN) -- The birth of a child fathered by a 13-year-old boy has sparked an uproar in Britain.
Alfie Patten, who was only 12 when the baby was conceived with his girlfriend, Chantelle Steadman, 15, was first pictured on the front of Friday's tabloid Sun newspaper with his daughter, Maisie Roxanne, after her birth Monday.

Adolescence is a pseudo-stage created by our culture, contradicting our biology to be ready for sex immediately after puberty.
But as far as western society's standards are for parenting, he sounds pretty immature and unqualified from the quotes in the article.

BOY dad Alfie Patten has agreed to have a DNA test to prove his is the father of his teenage girlfriend's child.

How many well adjusted 15 year old girls would mess around with a 12 year old ? Especially one that looks as young as he does?

All the cool kids are doing it....Jamie Lynn Spears, Bristol Palin, the list goes on...why shouldn't 13yr olds?
Sick & incredibly sad. I really want to know where the parents were in this situation.
