Wow, how sad for you and especially your husband. Unless of course you both just have really low sex drives. I'd really start bouncing off the walls if I didn't get my four or five times a week...
Well, we both are fine with it for now. We have self control you know? We can't afford to have another child so how irresponsible would it be to choose to do it because of lack of control and get pregnant and have a kid we can't afford????
By the way, when you work 70 hours a week and go to school 3 nights a week and your wife gos to school 2 nights a week, you really just want to sleep!
We are being responisible. And don't you worry about it, my husband and I are VERY satisfied
I think religion/beliefs have a lot to do with it. For example, take our neighbors - they have 5 kids, a 6th on the way, and a bumper sticker on their car that screams about how they don't "believe" in abortion.
To each his own, I guess.
For us, it's been a matter of waiting until our finances are in order. If we're bringing a child into the world, we want to make sure we are able to provide for it.
Your right. That is not ALL that I do. But that IS what the method is called. And part of it is knowing when to "test" and by knowing your cycles. I'm not about to get into the whole thing on some forum.
Thank you but I've been doing it for YEARS and it does work for me
Well, you did orignially state that there are 2 times that a woman can't get pregnant. Iti s not 100% true that you can't get pregnant during your period. If your method works for you, that's great. However I don't think you should be spreading mistruths about natural birth control to other women that might be interested.
The method you are describing is the old Rhythm method, which many people can attest is not 99% effective. It uses past cycles and temps to predict future cycles. The method I was referring to is the Fertility Awareness Method or Natural family Planning, depending on whether or not you chose to abstain during your fertile times. In order for the methods to be 99% effective you need a combination of waking basal body temp, and checking cervical fluid. For extra insurance you can also check and note cervical position.
You may have been using this method for years and had no problem, but it only takes one time for you to ovulate earlier or later for you to get pregnant.

Ok again, I don't want to get into my personal life. BUT I do use the method you are talking about. Didn't want to get MY cervical fluid involved on the forum, lol!
I'm not spreading mistruths. Never said it was 100% effective to have sex during menstration and not get pregnant! It is however near impossible. That IS a fact.
I DID get pregnant on the pill form of birth control. I NEVER got pregnant with the natural method. It works if you do it right. It takes time and patience and self control (can't have "fun" during certain times )
Good grief, a high sex drive doesn't imply a lack of control.
That's is NOT what I meant!
I mean that WE do becauase we HAVE to control urges sometimes because of the birth control WE use!
We both have very normal, if not above, sex drives. We choose a certain birth control method in which we must practice self control. Not to mention we don't have much time
Well, a friend of mine whose wife stays at home and who has 3 kids, ages ranging 6 to 1 1/2 just got his wife pregnant. He isn't rich and lives pretty much paycheck to paycheck. one would think that the necessity to budget and to watch one's spending would be enough to make a man put on a condom come that time, but I guess some people don't think things through... and then suffer the consequences.
I would like to have a third child but I like staying at home with the two we have and we are sending them to private school and would like to pay for college. So two it is
As for over-population, it is mostly a myth. While we chose to adopt our kids, really the world has a lot of resources and it is mostly corrupt governments, not too many people that prevent those resources from being distributed.
It depends on the mother's age. I had my first at 31 so I will not be having 4 or 5 kids.
We have 2 right now that is probably it. There is maybe a 5% chance we go for a third.

I'm not allowed to rep you again but you made a good point.
Most of the people who I know personally who have 3+ children starting having children early. Those who start later simply have less time. There are exceptions though. One family member had 2 children by the time she was 19. Then she never had anymore.
