ADELANTO, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities arrested a woman for allegedly trying to kidnap her daughter's boyfriend and haul him away to Northern California. A sheriff's spokeswoman said Tuesday that two women went to the young man's home on Saturday afternoon and tried to tie him up with duct tape.

Who knows what the real story is.

A while back, there was a story in the media here that reported that a teacher was in trouble for putting sticky tape over a girls mouth at school. The girl was about 10y.o. Everone was up in arms about it. The pc brigade was in overdrive. The lawyers lined up on both sides.

Anyway after a short time, the judge told the lawyers to sit down and questioned the girl him self. Turned out the ten year olds were gigling and the teacher asked them to be quiet and they kept giggling so she said that she would have to tape up their mouths. The girls thought this was fun and lined up and each one got a single piece of sticky tape about an inch and a half long, taped vertically from just under their nose to just under their bottom lip. It was a game. The judge threw out the case and told everyone involved to take a reality check.
