Can i just piggy back this post and ask the OP and others some questions?
First to answer your question OP: my daughter does this! But for pee and poo. She's almost 5, has chronic constipation and not completely potty trained.
Doctor says just give miralax and limit her dairy. This has been an issue for years. She just has such a hard time pooping! You mentioned milk protein. Doctor mentioned casein a whey protein in dairy.
But i limit her dairy and she still has trouble going.
Allergy testing. Real allergy tests...not the take a vial of blood and see what happens type. I didn't discover that I am allergic to dairy until in my 30s. An uncomfortable hour in the allergist's office as a child would have saved me decades of suffering. My pediatrican suggested many of the things I read in the above posts. Find out why your child is having trouble--don't just try to fix the symptoms.
I would have a serious talk with her and tell her there are some things she can do at home that she may not do in public. It's common sense - doesn't matter WHY she wants to do it - it's inappropriate in public (and may be weird later on in her life, but just focusing on the public part of this issue right now).
Also: There are natural cures for constipation. Meds could have very toxic side effects and she can't be on the drugs for life.

I have no helpful input on this topic but I find it very strange that the nurse opened the door on her. That is very uncalled for. A knock on the bathroom door and say, "is everything okay in there?", would have been efficent. When people are in the bathroom the best thing to do is give them privacy and leave them alone. Tell her to lock the bathroom door next time and not to use the nurses bathroom anymore. Maybe using the bathroom in the school gym will be better for her. Also, you should send her to a specialist.

This thread is ten years old. If she was in kindergarten she's 15 at a minimum and at the very least in her freshman year of high school.
Have you tried diet changes? My youngest daughter had issues from birth. The doctors couldn't find any medical reason. On a hunch, when she was 3 or 4, I eliminated dairy from her diet. And her bowel issues resolved. She isn't allergic, but she obviously has issues digesting it. Not saying that's the issue, but maybe look into doing some elimination diets to see if it helps.
