I think the best time to have children is at the age of 25 for women.

Why? What's wrong with 22? What's wrong with 30? Why is 25 such a magical number?

I'm just curious as to your logic

I would also say this - I have told my DD for years and years not to get married or have kids until she knows she is capable of supporting herself and them if necessary. I have seen (and she has too) several women stay in bad relationships or move back in with parents or whatever because the women had no marketable skills. You just don't ever know what will happen. You spouse could die (I'm also surprised at the number of adults with children who don't think to purchase life insurance), become disabled, unemployed, he/she could leave, turn out to be abusive etc etc etc. Before your marry/have kids make sure you can make a living by yourself.

I am 46 and have a 6 and a 4 year old and wish I had them much earlier. Our finances are stable and I am mature enough to raise them - but even though I am in great physical condition - I am still tired out! I say early 30s is the best time if you can afford them and you are mature enough - once you have a child your life will never be the same again.

2 p.m. That way Dad usually does not have to go back to work. If you have them too early, Dad may have to go back to work by late afternoon. Give him the day off. Have kids at 3=2 p.m.

I had my first when I was 22, and now, at 25, am having my second. I waited until I was in a stable relationship (you don't always have to be married, some people don't believe in the traditional stance of marriage) and are mature enough. I know several ladies who had their kids at 19 and are great moms, and on the flip side-- I know some who waited until they were late 30's and are totally uninterested in their kids. Depends on the mom, the situation and the relationship with your partner.

Finances are important also, but sometimes nature decides that financially secure or not, it's time for a baby.

I also waited for my second until I was done with school. So much less stress for me!

I don't think there's ever an ideal and perfect time for most people. I didn't have my first one until I was 30. I wish now I had them when I was younger. I'm in my middle forties and TIRED, and I'd like to relax and have my own life now; pursue some interests. But I can't relax because my kids are not grown up and independent yet! I would have a lot more energy to deal with them if I was five or ten years younger. Of course, I'm a single parent, so that makes a difference.

A: Around 10am.

So your husband does not have to get up too early and you can be home in time to watch the TV sport that evening. If possible have the children on a Monday as there is less TV sport on Mondays.

Except Monday Night Football.
