I think it is a lovely name. As the world is becoming more multi-cultural I've known a Tai, Tam, Tram, Hang, Phen, Lo and more. If you ever move to Southern California no one is going to bat an eye.

May she be healthy and your wife have a safe delivery!

Even if you give your kids a 'normal' name nowadays they are still going to be asked how to spell and pronounce it. My kids have very simple and common names but the expectation that you've gone the route of making it 'unique' with some wacky spelling is now immense.

Before looking at the thread I said "Zy-Ah". But however you pronounce it, I think it's great. Better than some of the names you hear celebrities giving their kids.

My daughters middle name is Alaea. Got it off a bag of "Whale Tails" out in San Diego, CA when on vacation. It's a Hawaiian sea salt seasoning and we pronounce it "Ah - lay - ah". We even asked someone we know who's from Hawaii, and he agreed with that.
My step-sons middle name is Xavier (Like the professor on X-Men). Pretty cool imo.
Oooh I absolutely LOVE the name Xavier!

I think Xia would be a wonderful name for a girl. Cute when she's little and professional when she's older.

Xia is pronounced "Shia". "Zeea" or "Z..." will not sound and mean the same. However, it will be a good practice to make people pronounce your/your daughter name the right way.

Since the OP is 18 months old, I hope they named the kid by now and didn't wait for further opinions from CD!

Hey...if we keep the thread going long enough, maybe they will be back and we can help them name their next baby.
