Beautiful compliments! Your girls are very thoughtful!
The best part about it is you will probably be friends forever!

Anyway, much ambivalence about my lack of professional life, and lots of worry that my skills have atrophied. So I interviewed for a job recently; didn't get it, and was trying to shrug it off. A few days after the rejection letter, I was talking to my 9 year old about a playground issue he had. At the end of our discussion he said 'Mom, you should have gotten that counseling job'. That one sticks with me.
You know, there is an old saying that if someone likes animals, they can't be all bad.
I think if children like us, we must have done something right!
Support from your son shows how much he thinks of you! Children seem to just naturally know the important stuff!

[+] Rate this post positively Oh Yeah, I'm pretty proud of him. Hard to believe he's grown up now--18 next week.

Congratulations! If he's gotten that far, you've probably taught him 80% of what he need to know in life!!

I certainly enjoy my offspring as adults. Hope you do, too!

That's what I always believe about child-rearing....bring up your children to be adults you would want to spend time with. So far so good here (most of the time anyway! LOL)....
