We are about to buy a convertible car seat for my almost 12 month old son.
We are definitely going to have him rear facing up to 35 pounds and I want him to be as safe and comfy as possible.
I also want something that isn't going to be extremely difficult to install if I have to put the seat in another car, for example.
I am looking at spending less than $300.
What is everyone's favorite convertible car seat?

Another vote for Britax Marathon... though I think they have a new model that is similar. I'm not sure of the name.

My sister is a car seat tech and highly recommends the Britax Marathon.

also sunshine radian is good, esp if you have to get one that is narrower to fit into a small car or you need multiple car seats to fit side by side, in the case of multiples.

We also have the Britax Marathon and I would buy it again if I had to do it over. You can find them on good sales periodically if you are looking for deals on the internet. I've seen them for about $180 a few times recently.

Also, I would recommend checking out Car Seat.Org - Carseat, Vehicle & Child Passenger Safety Forums and asking based on your child's stats. They might have a different recommendation if your child is tall vs short for example. I always ask my carseat questions there b/c those people know everything about carseats!

Thanks everyone, we ended up getting the Britax Marathon and I love it so far. He seems much more comfortable in it too versus the infant seat.
