People having kids for there own selfish reasons
Anyone notice this?
I honestly believe most people have kids for there own selfish reasons.
Some bottom of the barrel types have kids because welfare gives them more money
Some people have kids in hopes of "saving" there relationship
Some looneys have kids because they want attention
Some people have kids because they simply have a void in there life and want something to do
Some people have kids for there own status in society, its like there trophy piece
Some people dont even plan to have kids, its an unwanted accident
A lot of very selfish reasons to have kids with only the people creating them in mind.
Of course Im not implying everyone is guilty of this but dont you think there is a lot of this going on?

Let me guess, you do not have children and of course you know all about parents and their choices.

And then you have people that have new kids because the old ones didn't work out like they planned. Ok, so now what?
Is this new for you?

I am just here to get a discussion going with other members to see if they have also noticed this.

Ok, that explains your post. News flash for you, the news does not cover normal functioning families because it is boring.

You are not the first one that tries to start a "discussion" about having children. The other posters end up insulting us parents, do you have the same agenda?

No, I'm asking you "now what?" like where are you going with this?
You see, this may be an awakening moment for you but at least 99% of those items listed have been on book shelves for the past 50 years. People have tangoed with the issues and are affected in one way or another by it.
Considering that these are not new, then I would expect you to have thought about this a little more indepth. So, now what?

Every reason for having kids is selfish, including having kids because you think "god will decide how many I should have".
