Remember this vaccine will not be made using the methods of the past. In order to speed up the cultivation of the virus and the manufacturing process, they’re using human liver cells instead of chicken eggs. Whether this new procedure is better or worse than the old method, I can’t say … but it’s never been used before and they have not had time to conduct any human testing.
So, it’s a giant game of Russian Roulette that you simply want to avoid.
The World Health Organization DOES NOT produce vaccines. . .they deal with epidemiological data and surveillance. They are a global (infectious disease) monitoring system.
DH, DD (4), DS (8) and myself will be getting one or both, as available.
Miasmommy----my dh is "in healthcare" as well, and he either gets the flu shot, or misses out on it due to his busy schedule. If he doesn't get it one year, it is because he MISSED it not because he is AGAINST it. You said half the people you know in healthcare are not getting the shot, you didn't mention why they are not getting the shot.
DH did get the FLU last year (Missed the shot) and it was VERY VERY bad. He was in bed for 5 days every moment he didn't HAVE to be at work (which he shouldn't have been but had to). He was in very bad shape, I think I might have been that sick once in my life. Luckily I didn't get it and neither did the kids (we had the flu shot).
His flu was very nasty.
I'd rather take my chances with the shot.
The people I know will not be getting it because they are against it and have seen evidence that they do not work.
I also have some religious friends who are health care workers who do not believe in ANY vaccines.
None of them, in the years I have known them (5-10years and a few of them a lifetime) have ever been seriously ill with "vaccine preventable illness" and very few EVER get the flu. Including myself. I've worked with elderly and children and have had the flu ONCE in my entire life. I was 17 and I was experimenting with marijuana. For a summer we smoked and shared bowls and joints. I'm convinced that I shared the germs of hundreds if not thousands of people by chain reaction thus giving me a great risk of contracting ANYTHING.
My mother said as a child I never had the flu. I had ear infections but my parents smoked around us kids.

I'm not reading anything that comes from a conspiracy forum. I refuse to believe that all of the doctors in the country, the CDC, and WHO are all in some kind of conspiracy to vaccinate everyone. What would be the point?

A survey of 400 people who bothered to return the questionnaire? This is not a scientific study, and is not convincing to me.
The pharma company is still making tons of money. They are being paid by the government instead of by individuals (assuming that it really will be given for "free").

That's an awful lot of money and it is something that we will all pay for through our taxes.
For so much profit you would think more pharma's would be in it for this goldmine, but last I checked there are only a few vaccine makers doing the majority of doses. No wonder companies are doing so poorly, they don't know how to make a quick buck!
Mercola is far from bogus. He is a doctor just like your doctor. I know him personally and have actually worked with him and know two nurses who work for his practice. He's well known in our area as well and makes many appearances. His products are healthy products. Yes he sells things but when you find things that work you can't go give it away for free! Not to mention the donations and the amount of money it costs to have site and how much it costs to travel and share your information. . . .
Mercola is a wonderful man. He knows a great deal. All of the SPECIALISTS at his practice are wonderful too. I have been blessed to know such wonderful, open minded, educated and caring people and DOCTORS!

Don't know who "my" doctor is that you are referring to....I happen to work with some of the most renowned physicians and surgeons in the US.
I guarantee you...."Dr" Mercola has nothing in common with any of them...
Funny how you speak of things when you have absolutely NO firsthand knowledge.
The things he sells never harmed anyone. They only helped. I know people who have an continue to take a few of those stated in your link.
This proves nothing. The FDA strangles anyone who doesn't fall into the "sell our crap" catagory.
