Pageants for little girls just squick me out, but that's another thread. I just saw these photos and wanted to share them with the sensible parents of this forum. This ties in with the unconventional names thread, too--most of these names make us traditionalists roll our eyes.
Of one these girls is the most bizarre color. She's .... tangerine. She looks like an alien.
OMG - most of them don't even look like real people!!
Re - the "tangerine" thing....my son goes to school with a girl who has been in comp. cheerleading since we've known her (3rd grade?) - she goes to those ESPN competitions etc - she is always "tanned" an odd color - the boys all call her the "Oompa Loompa girl"...LOL
They photoshop these pics. In fact, the action is called "porcelain" or something that turns these little girls into odd alien doll creatures. ETA, now that I look again, I think the winner is going to give me nightmares. Her eyes!!!! Eeeeeeeeeek!
I hate to admit that I watch Toddlers and Tiaras, but it's like a new brand of horror show and I can't look away.
I'm sorry...but this seems like it's more for the parents than the kids. Why don't they just let them be kids? These are dolls you put up on your mantel. I don't get it.
I understand touching up photos - but there are ways to do it without attempting to make them non-human life forms...just creepy creeepy creepy....then sad.

They don't just touch them up. The action transforms them. It is creeeeeepy!!!
