I read everyone's concerns but can't make myself vaccinate my children. I can't completely explain why but my gut is saying no.

Interesting where I work only people who got a flu vaccination have become sick. No one I know who has refused to get the vaccines has become sick. Too many neurological side effects for me to mess with it for my kids or myself and I don't believe in messing with the nervous system.

The Obamas haven't gotten their kids the vaccination so I'd say there must be some concern about its risks.

SleeplessnATL is on a distinguished road
Here's more info for those who care--whether you have decided to vaccinate or not.

An interesting article: Does the Vaccine Matter? - The Atlantic (November 2009)

Also, check out Tom Jefferson, MD/PhD. Part of the Cochrane Collaboration. . .an epidemiologist/reviewer who's HIGHLY knowledgeable about influenza and vaccine research/data.

Definitely. Do to serious health issues, I could die if I catch the flu. As a result, my entire household needs to be vaccinated every year.

My son's pediatrician's office told us not to bother. More than half the kids in his school have already gotten it and there have been no unusual or serious cases (he is twelve, by the way).
