I will be kind of brutaly honest here

I don't think that seeing a pair of boobs in some magazine will be my son's salvation
How did we survive as a civilization before magazines were created?

Oh my god, you really can't be serious, can you?! Banning porn will save millions of lives of women and children, and even men. It is an addiction that only worsens over time and hurts soceity..sorry but I don't buy your theory.

Let me clarify my point. Remove the porn. Insert any other subject. Hunting, fishing, motorcycling, hiking, needlepoint, kite flying, drinking, smoking, religion, or driving SUV's. Pick any activity, and somebody will try to ban it because somebody else is having fun. I don't drink, or smoke. I also don't advocate banning them just because I don't agree with sombody else's bad habits. It really irks me when I see people jumping on the "ban it" band wagon. The people of the world need to learn one thing. MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS!!!!

I also don't believe it will damn him to a fiery eternity.

"How did we survive as a civilization before magazines were created?"

I believe that is when women were treated as property, and second class citizens. They weren't allowed to vote, drive cars, own property, or make decisions. They were thought of as inferior, because men didn't know anything about them. Their ignorance of how the female body worked was obscene. I guess you're right. How DID we survive as a civilization?

Okay - I guess I'm actually fiesty today

Everyone's right winged, highly tweaked religious view (and I'm even a Christian Republican) is what's ruining this civilization!!!

Keeping people from their natural urges and turning them into guilt and resentment is what's the matter.

I have a friend from Japan, and over there they express the human body (sexually or artfully, whichever) all over the place. And he said that because it's so taboo here in the US - he's never seen men so obessed with breasts!!!

It is a sad world we live in where people have such close minded views as to something as HARMLESS as Playboy. I'm a mother of a 5 year old boy - and I will let him express himself if he wants to - not bottle him up. It's my job to guide him not shelter him!

I am rather Liberal and far from what you think I am, how is that for stereotyping someone?

How old are the magazines? If they are vintage playboy magazines like from the 50's, 60's, 70's even some 80's issues; you can get a nice amount for them since there are considered collectors items now. And not many early issues survived since moms back then would throw them out along with the vintage Marvel comics. The first issue of Playboy sold for $10,000.00 a while back.

Porn mags are not an addiction for everyone who looks at them!
I would not let my 15 yr old keep 100 mags though. I'm not sure if I'd let him keep any since guys that young usually don't need "too much" visual stimulation.

I am shocked that some hate porn so much. Looking at it does not make one a monster.

Default Send them to Rance..

Skoe, I want you seriously to think of sending them to Rance....he's dying to get some women in Alaska and I realize mags won't be nearly as good as the real thing (they aren't like those talking kiddie books, right??) but maybe it will help him out till he gets some girls in Alaska!! Seriously though, at first I thought wow...what the he double hockey sticks is a 15 year old doing with that many girlie mags?? My first concern would be finding out where they came from and have some intense conversation with all involved. And please, think of Rance and his buddies on the Slope!

I do not post here very often but I have to say I couldnt agree more with the above quote.

Not horrible that a boy would be curious but a parent needs to be the one to let him know his curiosity is normal but these magazines are very disrespectful and he should not have them they do not ever show what a woman with out surgerey or air brushing really looks like. The magazines all the way around to me is very tastless and classless.
