When did you decide that you wanted to have children?

Although my son was planned, and i thought i was ready to have kids, i'm am a firm believer that you are never really "ready" to have kids, no matter how much money you have, or whether you married the "perfect" spouse, nothing really prepares you for kids. I think that is what makes having kids one of the best and scariest experiences in life. You do get better at it (being a parent) as the years go on, though. I'm very happy w/my decision, even though i didn't plan on doing it alone.
