Miami, Florida (CNN) -- He wanted to sit outside for a while and enjoy the night air, then took a shower and curled up on the couch to watch a cartoon movie.

A boring night by many teenagers' standards. But 15-year-old Michael Brewer, who suffered burns over 65 percent of his body in October -- allegedly at the hands of a group of youths he knew -- reveled in it, his mother told reporters Wednesday.

Scarier than what those three boys did are those posting below it, not wanting these vicious monsters to be held accountable for what they did.

I saw the update on that poor kid. I hope he recovers and has a Happy New Year. As heinous as it is for what he has to endure for a life-time after what they did to him, the good news is he has a family who both supports and loves him. They are there for him.
It would be cool if the next update read something like ''The 3 teens faces 30 years to life sentence''.
