News, It's 'Dangerous' and It's Selling Fast.
So let's say you have a 10-, 11- or 12-year-old boy and you took away his video games, his iPod and, yes, even the television. Would he know what to do? Would you know what to do with him?
If these questions make you cringe, fear not. Help has arrived in the form of "The Dangerous Book for Boys" -- a sort of "how to" guide to life and play for young boys that is enjoying sudden and sensational success.

I bought it for a neighbour's son and he absolutely loved it ! I think Iggulden is trying to get back to the days when being a kid was fun and full of adventures and trying to get kids to entertain themselves rather than being passive in front of the TV or computer games. This has got to be a good thing considering the amount of time children now spend indoors, doing nothing remotely independent.

Add in telephone and computer and that's the standard punishment in our house for our 11 year old son, we call it being "unplugged"...works like a charm!

well getting out in the sun once in a while is good
But none of my kids have gotten a concussion or stitches from their videogames
and i don't have to scream for them outside either!!
no just kidding
it is well and good
but I live in Georgia and summertime temperatures can get into the 100's at times
It is a comfort to know that they have indoor activities as well so they stroke on me
and my soon to be 8 yr old got a new bike for his b'day so I can see more scraped knees coming my way
