I raised my kids (3..2 girls , 1 boy) when their mother left us (they were 6, 8, 11)..The first mother's day, my little girl, who was in the 3d grade, made me a mother's day card (I still have it and she is now 30).

Mother's have a tough job, and I can somewhat relate, as I had to perform both roles. Hang in their, single Dad's, you can do it.

I also feel for those single Mom's who have to raise kids alone. Hope y'all have a blessed Mother's day.

Finally, I would like to wish my late mama a happy mother's day...She's been gone for 9 and 1/2 years..Thanks mama, for the values you instilled in me, and for the love you showed me.

Happy Mother's Day to all who are performing the role of mother! It's the toughest job you will ever love.

"Motherhood brings as much joy as ever, but it still brings boredom, exhaustion, and sorrow too. Nothing else ever will make you as happy or as sad, as proud or as tired, for nothing is quite as hard as helping a person develop her own individuality especially while you struggle to keep your own." - Marguerite Kelly and Elia Parsons
