Can anyone recommend some areas in PA that have quaint shopping areas. We are familiar with Lancaster and Lahaska, but looking for something different and right over the border from Jersey. We're hoping to take a day trip tomorrow or Wednesday.
Thanks

Definitely give New Hope a shot. Just over the border from Lambertville, NJ (Between Trenton and Philipsburg), this town has a quaint, historic "Main Street" aura about it that draws many tourists annually. My parents just returned from a weekend trip there back in June, and they adored it! There are a couple of notable wineries just outside of town, and the community itself is very walkable and alluring.

However, I'd also take into consideration the fact that the area experienced major flooding from the Delaware River back in late June. If someone else on this board can't update you on the town's status post-flood, then by all means give the Chamber of Commerce or Bucks County Tourism a call and ask about road detours, bridge closings, extent of damage, etc.
