roaring springs?. is it a good place to live?..any info would be great!!!!!!!......

Roaring Spring is a small town. It is mostly made up of houses and churches. There are also a few restaurants (mostly fastfood), bargain stores, and a gas station. The town does have a paper factory, and although it does give jobs to a lot of people, it gives off a pretty horrible smell. The town is about 20 minutes away from the city of Altoona, so many people live in Roaring Spring and commute there to work or college. Beyond that, it is all farmland and woods. If you are looking for another small town in the same area, I would recommend Martinsburg over Roaring Spring. They are very close together and share the same school district, but Martinsburg is better for families, in my opinion. They are set in Blair County but touch and even extend into Bedford County.
