Thanks everyone, my hubby right now does collections, but he is going to get his getting his license for building codes. I am a medical assistant , but I will be getting my real estate license before we move. I keep hearing Leigh valley is good like Allentown, and Bethlehem, is that true? Does anyone know any good websites to check out, I am looking for pictures of the towns and things like that.

Too funny, my best friend moved from PA out to AZ last year..she's not so thrilled though! I've lived in PA my whole life and hubby works in NJ. Bangor, Portland, Mount Bethel are areas that are close to NJ and the schools are pretty good. There are some areas in Allentown Bethlehem that have good schools, but I can't recall which are best. Nazareth also has a very good school system, but would probably be a bit far to commute to NJ. There are some good jobs in the Allentown/Bethlehem area, probably the highest paying in the area anyway, but are going to be less than NJ.

Here's a good website to compare school districts: Schools, High School, Public Schools, School District, Public High Schools - SchoolMatters There are good schools outside of the cities of Easton, Allentown and Bethlehem. I live in Southern Lehigh which is one of the smaller school districts and has a good reputation, unfortunately it also has one of the highest housing prices. The other districts with equally good reputations are Parkland, East Penn and Saucon Valley. Here's a link to Coopersburg: Welcome to Coopersburg, Pennsylvania!

While jobs in the Allentown or Bethlehem may pay less then ones in NJ, the cost of living is lower. The economy is healthy here and the unemployment rate is low.
