My father is one of May's older brothers-she had many-there were 15 brothers and sisters. This family was located in Jefferson Boro and lived on a farm. My grandfather was a coal miner-my grandmother raised the tribe. The correct spelling was Floreffe, Pa. I also had my wedding reception there along with 3 Bendel family reunions. Unfortunately there have been many aunts and uncles who have left us my Dad included. This family was so large at one time that we had to rent a fire hall just for aunts, uncles and first cousins not alone friends of the family. They were very closeknit and cared deeply for each other. The have tremendous pride in the Bendel name and I am sure it will go on for quite sometime.
