Default Red Robin

Does anyone think that Red Robin might want to take over the shell that was once Ruby Tuesday (which I really miss). It seems to me like that would make sense because they could then open sooner rather than later. It would probably be a less expensive venture as well.

I'm hoping .

I certainly hope something goes in there where Ruby Tuesday was. It's a beautiful building and a nice location. Hopefully a new owner would have better luck and the arsonist would leave him or her alone.

According to the Daily Item this morning, we probably won't be getting the Fashion Bug and maybe not the Lane Bryant listed in the previously referenced website. Their parent company is tightening its belt and concentrating on the stores they already have (even closing some). I hope we don't end up with a beautiful new half empty plaza!

Default Great

Ha maybe Ollies will want to move there just like Giant. This is getting more and more disappointing by the moment. not that I would ever have a reason to shop at Fashion Bug or Lane Bryant.

It's amazing how many open places there are now.......

The Rag Shop store
Ruby Tuesday's store
Rex's store
Quizno's store
Golden Corral's store
Soon to be Giant store

Just please don't tell me the Best Buy rumor falls through for the new marketplace.......I'll be devastated

Additional tenants of Monroe Marketplace apply for permits

By Damian Gessel

SHAMOKIN DAM — They’re coming.
Kohl’s, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Staples, Michaels, Dress Barn, Famous Footwear, Lane Bryant and Red Robin have all applied for zoning permits to build stores in 750,000-square-foot shopping center Monroe Marketplace, located along Routes 11/15 on the Golden Strip.
Target and Giant are already building.
Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate and Trust broke ground on the planned 17-store, 125-acre shopping center in August. Blueprints include specs for 4,000 parking spaces and two new stop-lights at intersections on Routes 11-15.
Monroe Marketplace is expected to create hundreds of new jobs when completed. State Representative Merle Phillips, R-108 of Sunbury, has backed the project, calling it a boon to the local economy and a means to create jobs and stabilize the local tax base.
Developers are eyeing July for the center’s grand opening.

Default Also

I am betting that Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petsmart, Fashion Bug, Old Navy, Starbucks will be the remaining 6 (the Daily Item mentions 17 stores), because so far the site I mentioned previously is right on target and those are the only stores not mentioned in the Daily Item….

Good to see the rumors of Red Robin pulling out were untrue. I was excited to see them coming in and was a little disappointed at the rumors they may not.

BEST BUY!!!!!!!!! I'm very happy

Nothing about Home Depot? I was hoping that rumor was true, but it sounds like it wasn't.

.
This is probably a stupid question but when companies like these apply for zoning permits is it basically a done deal for them to be granted? I'm still having a hard time accepting that a Best Buy is coming to the area as I've wanted one badly for so many years. I guess it's just too hard to believe that I think something will happen to derail it at the last minute.
