Fairfield's cost of living rate is VERY high, especially around the Carroll Valley area. I've lived here 15 years. Am planning on moving, I've finaaly had enough. The township "rules" are ridiculous to say the least, and plus--- Fairfields police department is a joke. All they are worried about is sticking their nose in other peoples business and NOT interested in helping. If you aren't white, they don't want you, simple as that. I wouldn't recommend moving here at all.

Cathy 17320 is correct. The police department is a joke. Carroll Valley Borough is extrememly oppressive, dishonest and frankly in my personal opinion, more corrupt than anything you'll see come out of Philly or Harrisburg. And if nothing else- DO NOT EVER EVER EVER live in an Allen Beckett house/deathtrap/abomination. The borough and their building code mavens at their 3rd party inspection agency seem to have some real problems (reading, showing up for inspections, actually having any working knowledge of the codes). In all honesty, I would suggest strongly that you reconsider moving anywhere in Adams County. York's not a good idea either. Try Franklin County, check your builder, make sure it's not Allen Beckett or Brick Point Construction (same) and don't bother checking the court house in Adams County for info on this guy, it's not available for public view. They claim they just know where these compaints are kept

Dissension is always a positive thing for this great country; for it serves as reminder that we are provided with the wonderful liberty of Freedom of Speech; no matter what level of intelect that it stems from. Where else can you write messages so freely that are blasphemous to one’s character without remorse or review?
It is evident that you have some hardened positions concerning the borough inspectors, Adams County and Beckett Construction. I do not need to know the details nor desire to know the specifics. Adams County is a great place and in the balance of seeking truth and fairness, I would remiss if I did not offer a counter view of Mr. Allen Beckett, Brick Point Construction, Inc. I have personally purchased a home from him, as have friends and family, and I can honestly say we have all found Mr. Beckett to be an honest and straightforward in meeting all of our construction desires and demands. If you are seeking an opinion or any recommendations on behalf of Allen Beckett and Brick Point Constructions, Inc. let me know. There are many satisfied customers that are willing to come forth to the character and work performed by Mr. Beckett.

Hmmm, the use of names on the internet and slanderous statements can wind up one being sued for defamation.

If one doesn't like the noise because they have new neighbors, then maybe one needs to find a home that is not located close to other neighbors.

"I couldn't escape the noise so, I gave them hell"

Do you give the other neighbors hell for mowing the lawn and making noises when they do it?? That's nuts.
