Where would you move to out of these 3 places?
We are looking for a home less thatn 5 years old. In a good school district.
I narrowed our search to these three areas:
Upper Macungie
Quakertown
Nazareth
Which would you chose and why?
Thanks for your input!

Nazareth
Well for me it would be Nazareth. I just like the location, and the schools are very good ,so I hear.
I think living near Easton, and Phillipsburg with its shopping areas off of 33/78 are great. Lowes, Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, Texas Steakhouse......
Linens and things.....Then off to Phillipsburg Mall and Sears, Old Navy, and other various stores.......passing by Bontons and Boscovs on RT.248 heading back home. Its a good location for catching a bus to NYC.......or a great location for hopping a flight out of ABE airport. I love that airport......
Perhaps going to the large Lehigh Mall or the Whitehall area to shop.
I like it because its easy to get to New Jersey from the location.
Theres many places to go to that are not that far away, for family enjoyment. I like to know I can get into the city for broadway shows and other events.
Quakertown I like but it just doesn't have everything I need ..........
Upper Macungie I don't know that much about.......

We need more information
All three areas are completely different. I would choose Quakertown because it is the most centrally located of the three between NYC and Philadelphia. Without knowing your reasons or criteria it is very hard to give a good analysis of the three areas. Commute times from all three areas vary depending on which direction you are going. Post your criteria so we can give you a better analysis.

Within 30 minutes of NJ?? I'm not sure if that's possible from any of those places. There aren't many fast moving roads that go directly east-west from Quakertown and the distance from Nazareth or Upper Macungie has got to be more then that.
Upper Macungie is part of East Penn school district. Good schools but growing faster then they can build schools. I would do some comparisons on Schools, High School, Public Schools, School District, Public High Schools - SchoolMatters and visit the schools. The important ones to look at are the middle and high schools. Just about any district does well at the elementary level. Of the three places you've picked, Nazareth and Macungie are fast growing areas so you would probably have an easier time making friends with other people that have recently moved.
Quakertown is probably my least favorite of the three areas, a little more blue collar and just not as nice.

We were looking at those three areas too, and we picked Lower Macungie.
Good luck!
