I live not far from Waymart. We have seen some snowflakes in Oct. but it is usually just a light coating and melts very quickly. You should be OK in November also. I think I would look for a place to stay in Honesdale if possible. It's only a few minutes drive from Waymart. I'll send you a PM.

I hope you didn't plan your trip for early March as I did! l(Apparently peak ski season after a recent snow) I had a heck of a time finding a place to stay! Don't even think you are going to find a place to stay in Waymart! Stop before you get there! (there are a lot of hotels in Scranton and Wilkes Barre before you get to Waymart...it's fairly close 15-20 minutes)

There is a really nice little hotel on Rt. 6 in Hawley called the Tuckem in Motel.
Very clean and cozy and not far from Waymart or Honesdale.

There's a new B&B and motel opening in Waymart. It's on rte 6 right before Keen Lake Campground and the sign says it's name is the Lodge at Keen Lake. Not sure when it's scheduled to open but it looks close to being ready.

Exactly where are those motels you guys spoke of...I know Waymart is not that big...I visit my friend who is in the Federal Prison there...are they close to there? I would love to find a closer place to stay...the only place I saw on Rt 6 was a dumpy Motel that looked like a place where people lived. It didn't look clean or cozy, actually kinda scary. Reminded me of something on a horror flick.

Default Waymart

Lived in Waymart as a kid, a nice place. Tourist season is starting and Honesdale area offers places to stay and it's about a 15 mile drive if I remember right. I am about 50 miles away now.

Keen Pond area is just out of town on the main drag, Rt 6 and worth checking out the web sight for updated info.

http://www.keenlake.com/ They have cottages to rent I believe.

Good Luck,

AL
