Moving to Beaver County
We are moving to Beaver County as soon as our place sells here. I am a pretrial officer and former paralegal, legal assistant. Any ideas as to where I can get a job? Thanks.

I will be very upfront with you. If you don't have a job there, do not move to Beaver County. There are hardly any jobs there, period. How did you happen to pick BC?

I read a few of your previous posts and understand why you are moving. It looks like you already have a place to live too. There is the Beaver County court house in the town of Beaver, plus many lawyers offices. I'm sure that with your credentials, you should be able to pick something up. As a last resort there is the Allegheny County court house in downtown Pittsburgh. I'm not sure if Federal Court is in the same building or not.

OK, I read your previous posts and see what is bringing you to Beaver County. I apologize for being so rash. Is there any possibility you could bring your parents to you, since you seem to have a good thing going in Ky?

Now I'm just wondering aloud here, but nearly every post you make you mention Breckinridge County, KY as the cats pajamas of places to live. Why, he asked knowingly are you moving away from it?

Breck Co. KY is the best place to live and we are extremely sad to leave. We are moving to Beaver Co. PA because my in-laws do not wish to move here and they are in their 80s. There is nobody else to take care of them and this is the only thing we can do. We would like for them to live out the rest of their years happy. My mom also lives in PA in Mercer Co.
Thanks for the encouraging words about the jobs. Just don't know when we'll get there.

Try to have a job lined up or at least in the offing before you move.

DoubleBranch, like another stated previously, there is the county seat of Beaver, as well as the Lawrence County seat in New Castle. Pittsburgh (depending on what area of Beaver County you're. moving to) is also a good option, with better and more job ops for you. The city of Butler, again, depending on your location in Beaver County, is the county seat of Butler County.
I live in Beaver County, northern section, near Ellwood City, North Sewickley Twp. This is a very very nice area, excellent schools here with Riverside and Black Hawk. Property is a bit more reasonable in the Riverside school district. Pittsburgh is a 45 minute drive. Up to mid 2006, I worked in downtown Pittsburgh, with a commute of 45 minutes.
KY is a beautiful state. But, you'll be moving to a very nice area in Pennsylvania. Moraine State Park is nearby, McConnells Mills, top rated golf courses, as well as school districts.
Best wishes to you on your move. And God bless you for your devotion to your family.
blessings, Shen
