Question Moving with the Family to Richboro

Hi all, my wife and I finally decided to move from Los Angeles, (where I lived most of my life) to Richboro, Bucks County, to be near my wife's family. We have two boys 5 and 3.
Can anyone give me a heads up on Richboro, what's there is to do, local industies, housing market, schools, sports, attractions...etc or general thoughts and comments on Richboro living?
I've never lived in a cold climate and my 3 year old has never touched snow...Please give me your thoughts, comments, recommendations...etc.

Any help would be appreciated!

Richboro is in the outer northern suburbs of Philadelphia, about 25 miles north of the city. Bucks County is one of the faster growing suburban counties, the older suburban areas reaching their peaks of sprawl development.

It is only cold a few months per year. It does snow several times per winter so your 3 y/o will be able to experience snow. Temps below freezing are not common, however. It'll happen, but a "cold day" usually means 35-45 degrees. I guess that'll seem frigid compared to LA though.

Being near Philly you will have access to all the amenities of a large city. The job market is broad if you're willing to commute to the city. Trenton is also nearby to the east and has a fair employment base, although dwarfed by Philadelphia. Probably not much to do in north BucksCo itself but if you go to town you won't be bored. Philly is the second largest city on the East Coast after New York.

You can probably find a housing market to fit whatever price range you're looking for, provided you're not hell bent on living exactly right in Richboro. That is, if you're looking in northern Bucks County in general which would still be very close to your wife's family. Housing will be cheaper than the Los Angeles area, that's for sure.

Excellent school district. Besides being close to center city Philly, you are not far from NYC either. It is a great location. Enjoy the east coast!

Not to be rude or anything but during February it gets down to 25-20 degrees sometimes. In October of 2008 there was a flurry.
