Employees at Verdelli Farms Inc. in Swatara Twp. will keep their jobs, even though the produce-processing business has been purchased by Fresh Express, a subsidiary of Chiquita Brands International Inc.

Highmark pact adds nearly 300 jobs

Highmark Inc. has won a $466 million contract that will bring 206 jobs to Cumberland County and 87 to Williamsport.

Is it true the state is building a Harrisburg State University in the city of Harrisburg?

Yes and no. It was originally planned to be called the Harrisburg State University and part of the state university system, but that plan was put aside in favor of setting up a private college focusing on science and technology.
The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (which I attend) is currently being built at Market and 4th street. Website: Harrisburg University

Movie theater complex opening soon
Construction in the lobby is almost completed at the Great Escape 14-screen movie theater complex at the Harrisburg Mall. Theaters in the complex will accommodate 2,500 moviegoers, and provides stadium seating and rocking, high-back seats with armrests, digital projection systems with surround sound and wall-to-wall screens

I would like to get information on Harrisburg area schools, looked at the Dept of Education website and the 2006-2007 report is not yet available and there is no mention of a 2005-2006 report. I want to find the best schools with a nice neighborhood of single family homes. Can anybody help?
