Default Woodcrest Hills Springettsbury township york pa

Hi does anyone know of or live in the community of Woodcrest Hills in york pa, springettsbury township? I am looking to move and I was impressed with the floorplan of the townhome in that community. But I'm wondering, how is the community? Is there alot of crime? schools? or any other info. I currently live in maryland, so I am not familiar with the area. any help is appreciated. Thanks

Default Re: Springettsbury Twp.

Hi there, I don't know which of the thousand or so new townhouse developments the one in which you are interested is, but as a county native and township resident since 1987, I can give you a few bits of info. This Twp. is one of the safest in York Co. although some inner city problems are hovering on the edges. The school district is one of the top two in the co, (17 of them total), and it is well-placed for a Baltimore commute.
Now then, instead of considering a townhouse, how about looking at Old East York? We are one of York's first suburbs, are listed on the National Register, have tree-lined, quietly-trafficked streets, and we are a wonderfully functioning neighborhood.
We have lots of kids, dogs, walkers, joggers, etc., we are located 5-10 mins. from everything, and we have high resale property values that are appreciating rather than going down. In all, we're sort of a Leave-It-To-Beaver neighborhood that is affordable, attractive, and very livable. We're much more fun than a siding-clad row of spec. houses.
Let me know if you have any questions about OEY or if you'd consider moving into the neighborhood. We usually have 2-4 homes on the market at any given time.
Cheers, Murphy138

We bought a place here. They are now sueing us for 2,088.00 dollars for a past snow removal job they did in which I slipped and fell and they then overcharged the entire complex to which all of us refused to pay and then they sued those that would not pay over and above the normal expected cost. Guess we need to enter the courtroom now. We also had people run into our cars due to their recent no parking strategy. Now neighbors are turning against one another. We downsized to come here and wanted to rent the place out soon but the management is so bad it may not be an option.
