Question Moving to York.. How much do property taxes increase every year, or do they?

My question is, I I will be moving to York,Pa in the next few months, I wanted to know do the property taxes increase every year? Or do they? And if so, by how much of an increase have you seen? Any info will be helpful.
Also, is anyone familiar with springettsbury township in york pa? How is the area? I am looking at a townhome community called Woodcrest Hills? Is anyone familiar with that community? Thank you.

Yes, taxes do go up every year, primarily because of the school system's needs/budgets. Taxes are still much lower than other parts of the country, and you get a good number of services for those taxes. Not familar with the townhome development you are asking about, but am familar with Springettsbury Twp. Sends it's kids to two school districts, depending on where you live, either Central or Suburban. Central school district is very large and growing, so taxes are likely to continue to rise as the need for schools and services increases. Suburban School district is landlocked and they need to either remodel or tear down and rebuild an existing structure to get more classroom space. Both are well rated choice districts of families with school aged children.
The area is beautiful, a couple of great parks with all sorts of activities, good shopping, great medical facilities, restaurants, easy access to Route 30 and 83, low crime, and a fair amount of traffic. The only drawback I can think of about Springettsbury Township is that they do a poor job of managing the roads during a snow storm.
