PA remains missing link in Continental 1 Corridor (U.S. 219 - Toronto to Miami)

There are only a few small towns that would benefit. In New York, it could benefit the area around a few towns such as Ellicottville and Salamanca. In Pennsylvania, it could benefit Bradford, Ridgeway, Dubois, Northern Cambria, Somerset, Berlin and Meyersdale. How much of a benefit to any of these towns is debatable.

The disrepair of our bridges has actually earned the distinction of being the worst in the country yet their are those that are more concerned about this??

You're being a bit restrictive in your geographic radius. Johnstown would be the largest city in PA to allegedly benefit from this highway.

I think the benefit to Johnstown would be extremely minimal. Johnstown is located on/near a 48 mile stretch of four lane Route 219. It has four lane access to the PA Turnpike for access to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, and four lane access to Route 22 for access to Pittsburgh and Altoona. How many businesses will locate to Johnstown because of the improved access to Interstate 68 and Buffalo?

I drove Buffalo to Florida many times and lived about 10 miles away from 219. Even if the 219 was finished through PA, I still wouldn't take it.

Look at Virginia - What's that really dumb Eastward alternate route?

At the VA/NC border, it looks like they have people get off I-77. Why??? Makes no sense. I-77 is a very nice road. Just keep taking it south, all the way to Columbia SC. From Columbia SC, go SE on I-26 (that unmarked red route to Charleston) until you hook up with I-95 South.
