Jim Thorpe has come a long way since my childhood days when I used to visit both sets of my grandparents there. So many people couldn't wait to get away from there, and now others are flocking there for things that just didn't exist when I was a child.

Someone has done a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful job of promoting this little "Switzerland of PA" and turning it into something other than just another coal town.

It really is amazing the job they did of turning things around. I love spending time in town.

I did a photo thread of this town on another forum. It is a beauty of a town. I was suprised with how vibrant the main street is, and all the little shops that one can find.

I take the family to Jim Thorpe every year for the fall foliage festival. Love that town.
