Here's what I almost did yesterday. It was about 98 degrees and I debated going out to rake leaves. Our neighbor has a poplar tree that is shedding leaves like crazy and they're all brown and shrivelled. I thought it might be fun to say I raked leaves in July in 98 degree heat. But then I thought, ehhhh go sit in the air conditioning.
LOL, glad you did so....this is the first year I've really minded the heat....

It probably has to do with the pathetic "winter" we just had. Last summer was hot too, but it came on the heels of a cold winter, so I didn't mind the heat so much.

The drought watch is likely DOA in Allegheny, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland Counties.

Many thanks to all of you for many informative posts and participation. We received rain today which was really nice...and I hope and pray everyone in the states receives rain real soon...I feel so bad for the farmers....that my friends is a really tough life, things are either really really good, or really really bad for them and it is tough work...I respect them a great deal and thank them.

It did rain yesterday where I am at. The total was only about one inch – but it was a good soaking rain. The one small pond now has a shallow mud puddle in the middle. We could still use many more days to alleviate our drought.

Anything is something, and we're supposed to get rain tomorrow as well, sure wish it would rain in the mid west to.
