Reports: Penn State Plans To Take Down The Paterno Statue This Weekend [UPDATE]

Looks like the Penn State Board of Trustees voted to remove the statue and it's coming down this weekend.

As the OP of the thread " Paterno's Statue To Remain Standing" I'm extremely pleased by this.

PSU comes to it's senses, too bad it didn't concerning Sandusky years ago.

They should leave the statue, but have Joe's head slightly askew so that people can see how he's "looking the other way".

Just drove by there about an hour ago. Big crowd around the statue and some reporters with TV cameras.

I hope they leave the statue. He was Penn State football for what ? 40 years ? Does 40 years just go away like that ?
