Gee, I dont remember, I just remember seeing a place. I moved to pittsburgh about a year ago. It looked like one of those old ones.. i was pretty impressed. I could be mistaken- it might be in a surrounding area....

Lewisburg has a nice little theater in town. There's a multiplex theater at the mall near Selinsgrove.

I would highly recommend Selinsgrove over Sunbury any day. Schools in Selinsgrove bad? HS education not good? I REALLY disagree with that. My kids are getting a wonderful education and the teachers have been great. Sure, every school district has issues, but again, I'd highly recommend Selinsgrove over Shikellamy (Sunbury) any day.

As far as I know there's no theater in town in Sunbury. I think "metalforever" has been gone too long and forgotten what's where and may be getting one town mixed up with another.

I have to vote for Selinsgrove over Sunbury also. Or Lewisburg is better yet. Sunbury's school is terrible. ALthough they do have a very nice charter school through CSIS that is internet based. I did that with my daughter, basically home schooling but she did college level classes. It really prepared her for college much better than sunbury's school could have. Also Sunbury has high crime and high drug usage. I try to stay away from Sunbury as much as possible and I am only right across the river.

No theater in Sunbury, there is a drive in theater between Northumberland and Danville on Rt. 11, a single screen one in Lewisburg that has been restored, and a multiplex in Selinsgrove/Hummels Wharf at the mall.

Lewisburg is personally best. Also, i havent been gone "that" long. I lived in shamokin, not sunbury- I knew one town down near there had a nice theater. I always liked sunbury better than selinsgrove though..., either way, the multiplex is by both sunbury and selinsgrove.

Also, schools in northumberland/nearby counties are bad no matter how you look at them. The school may be "relatively" good, but its not "good". Send your kids somewhere else so they arent robbed of a high school education, like I feel I was.

Lewisburg blows all the local schools out of the water as far as achievement and test scores. The information is readily available online with a simple search.
