Yes they are. There is a big state park(Ridley Creek State Park) and Springton Lake that filter through those towns. Although they aren't really towns, more like typical exclusive suburban enclaves.

If you are looking for higher end areas, also check out Radnor Township,St.Davids,Tredyffrin and Lower Merion Township. This area is 15-20 minutes further north than Media but its arguably the best areas with the highest rated schools in the entire Philadlephia area.

Thanks! My family and I went to visit the PA area this past weekend. Media is a very nice place but I am just concerned with the traffic going to Salem. How is the traffic on the bridge?

I would advise Garnet Valley (zipcode 19061) with a good school district and not a big commute to NJ. Plenty of nice developments and family oriented atmosphere. Safe place.
